Suspect arrested in 2021 Las Vegas homicide

A man suspected in a northwest Las Vegas homicide in 2021 was arrested on Tuesday, according to Metro Police.

Kenjuan McDaniel, 25, was charged with open murder with a deadly weapon.

At about 6:33 p.m. on Sept. 18, 2021, Metro Police was dispatched to the 5800 block of West Lake Mead Boulevard to find the victim dead from an apparent gunshot wound.

It was discovered the man was in an argument prior to the shooting with three unidentified people. McDaniel was identified through the course of the investigation.

The Criminal Apprehension Team, a multi-jurisdictional task force, was used to find McDaniel. The task force is led by the FBI and staffed in the Metro Police Major Violators Bureau.
