A man has been charged in the shooting death of his girlfriend near after a dispute Tuesday night at a residence near the Las Vegas Strip, according to Metro Police.
Officers responded to a report of a woman shot at an apartment in the 1000 block of South 3rd Street at about 5:40 p.m. Tuesday, police said. The victim was located suffering from an apparent gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators believe the victim was involved in a dispute with her boyfriend, Jesus Navarrette, during which he shot her.
Navarrette, 23, was arrested at the scene and booked into the Clark County Detention Center for open murder and outstanding warrants, police said.
