Metro: Man arrested in east Las Vegas stabbing on Tropicana Avenue

A suspect has been arrested for allegedly stabbing a man after a verbal altercation Friday, according to Metro Police.

Officers responded about 12:30 p.m. Friday to a report of a stabbing in the 5200 block of Tropicana Avenue, police said. The victim was located suffering from an apparent stab wound, and pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say they believe Rochlon Hamilton, 50, stabbed the victim after a verbal altercation.

Hamilton was taken into custody at the scene, and he was booked into the Clark County Detention Center for open murder with a deadly weapon.

The investigation is going, police said.
