Inmate serving 3 life sentences accused of 2004 murder in Las Vegas

Keysha Brown was killed in 2004, and Metro Police have labeled Nroman Flowers as the suspect.

Metro Police say they have identified a suspect in the 2004 murder of a woman in Las Vegas that had been labeled a cold case, according to a news release.

Norman Flowers, 48, who is currently in custody at High Desert State Prison, is Metro Police’s suspect in the death of 28-year-old Keysha Brown, they stated.

Brown was found dead by police on Oct. 19, 2004 near the 700 block of Flamingo Road, where detectives determined she had been stabbed, beaten and strangled. The autopsy revealed that she also had been sexually assaulted.

At the time, none of the investigative efforts led to a suspect The case remained unsolved and was assigned to the LVMPD Homicide Cold Case Section.

Police eventually determined that Flowers was the suspect based on a forensic evidence report on Dec. 21.

Flowers is currently serving three life sentences in the killings of Sheila Quarles, Marilee Coote and Rena Gonzalez, all in 2005, the release stated.

New charges have been filed in the Brown murder against Flowers, including open murder and sexual assault with a deadly weapon.
