More than a dozen hotels belonging to MGM Resorts International will become available for booking on Marriott International platforms this fall as part of a long-term strategic licensing agreement between the two major hospitality entities.

MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy, slated to launch in October, will allow people to book a stay at 17 MGM resorts — encompassing more than 40,000 rooms — not only through the Las Vegas-based company’s own channels but also on all of Marriott’s digital platforms. All properties are expected to be available by the end of the year, according to a news release from the companies.

“This historic, long-term agreement brings together two of the most trusted and iconic brands in hospitality and entertainment,” Bill Hornbuckle, president and CEO of MGM Resorts, said in a statement. “We’ve seen first-hand the strong demand from Marriott International customers through our existing relationship at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, and this new agreement will enable us to further optimize our overall profitability.”

Four Las Vegas properties named in the new partnership will be affiliated with Marriott “collection brands,” including the existing affiliation of the Cosmopolitan and the company’s Autograph Collection, the addition of the Bellagio to its Luxury Collection and more.

Eight of the other resorts joining the MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy are also in Las Vegas — including the Vdara, MGM Grand and Mandalay Bay — with the remaining five located in New Jersey, Mississippi, Michigan, Maryland and Massachusetts.

“We’re thrilled to now scale the relationship and offer Marriott Bonvoy members greater distribution access to our award-winning resorts — as well as exclusive event and entertainment opportunities — in Las Vegas and across the U.S.,” Hornbuckle said.

Through a new loyalty marketing agreement between BetMGM and Marriott Bonvoy, as well, members of Marriott’s loyalty program will be able to earn points on certain BetMGM transactions and participate in exclusive games, experiences and more on its platform.

BetMGM Rewards members will also have the opportunity to exchange points into Marriott Bonvoy points, the companies said.

“We couldn’t be more excited to be able to offer Marriott Bonvoy members and our players another suite of incredible perks only found on BetMGM,” Adam Greenblatt, CEO of BetMGM, said in a statement. “Our new agreement with Marriott International will create a truly robust rewards program that connects our players and Marriott guests to the full BetMGM omnichannel experience.”

Members of MGM Rewards will be eligible to link accounts with Marriott’s loyalty program — Marriott Bonvoy — and receive select member benefits at its global portfolio of over 8,500 properties, while members of Marriott Bonvoy will be able to earn and redeem points for stays at all MGM properties included in the partnership.

Members of both loyalty programs will be able to exchange points between them, the release said, and Marriott Bonvoy Moments — which provides members access to various experiences — will be enhanced by MGM’s culinary, entertainment and sports offerings.

"We are excited to make MGM Resorts’ incredible properties available on Marriott channels, allowing our members to enjoy Marriott Bonvoy benefits when they stay at MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy resorts,” Anthony Capuano, president and CEO of Marriott International, said in a statement. “We look forward to increasing our global rooms distribution by 2.4 percent as we grow our presence on the Las Vegas Strip and in other compelling destinations across the U.S.”
