Two new Las Vegas music festivals were announced last week, in case you missed them. Tickets are already on sale for SEMA Fest, running in conjunction with the annual SEMA tradeshow highlighting the automotive aftermarket industry, with the fest set for November 3-4 at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds. Imagine Dragons, Incubus, Wiz Khalifa, AJR, Third Eye Blind, Bush, Walk the Moon and Ludacris are among the artists taking the stage, with more information available at semafest.com. And the first annual Nevada Blues Festival is set to take place September 29 through October 1 at three venues working with the Las Vegas Blues Society — the Pioneer Saloon in Goodsprings, and downtown venues Soulbelly BBQ and the Sand Dollar Downtown at the Plaza. "We wanted to create an event that celebrates this rich musical genre and gives fans the chance to experience some off-the-beaten path hidden gems,” Stephen Staats, owner of the historic Pioneer Saloon, said in a statement. The full lineup will be announced in the coming weeks at nevadabluesfestival.com.

The inaugural national tour of “Spiderman: Into the Spider-Verse Live in Concert” will visit Reynolds Hall at the Smith Center for the Performing Arts on November 14. The acclaimed concert experience features the blockbuster animated film played on a large screen and accompanied by a live orchestra, a band and a DJ scratching on turntables, all performing music from the film’s score and soundtrack. The Broadway Sinfonietta, an all-women orchestra, will be featured with Emily Marshall conducting. Ticket prices for the Las Vegas show start at $35 and more information is available at thesmithcenter.com.

Here are some of the other blockbuster Vegas entertainment announcements of recent days: movie star Keanu Reeves’ band Dogstar will play Brooklyn Bowl on August 12; the Rumbazo music festival returns for year two at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center on September 15-16, featuring headliners Ivy Queen, Jay Wheeler, Gera MX, Guaynaa and more; pop-electronic artist Danna Paola will perform at the House of Blues at Mandalay Bay on September 21; reunited hip-hop outfit The Pharcyde will play Brooklyn Bowl on September 17; Backstreet Boy Nick Carter will make his debut at the Theater at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas on October 25; rapper Tech N9ne and rap-rockers Hollywood Undead team up for a concert at the Theater at Virgin on October 27; comedian Theo Von will make his debut at Resorts World Theatre with two performances on October 27-28; comedian and singer Rodney Carrington returns to the David Copperfield Theater at MGM Grand during rodeo week for shows scheduled for December 7-9 and 14-16; drag spectacular Jimbo’s Drag Circus will land at the House of Blues on March 27; and Jerry Seinfeld has lined up six new performances in 2024 at the Colosseum, starting April 12-13 at the Caesars Palace theater.

1923 Prohibition Bar at the Shoppes at Mandalay Bay has opened “Ghost Stories,” a dark magic show starring renowned magician and mentalist Kent Axell, who has been featured on National Geographic’s “Brain Games” as well as “Masters of Illusion.” The haunting new performance takes place Fridays and Saturdays at 8 and 10:30 p.m. Tickets start at $39 and are available at 1923lv.com.

Opening night of “The Hook” at Caesars Atlantic City was a buzzy success on July 21 as the Las Vegas-based company Spiegelworld premiered its latest show and venue. Guests got their first chance to pass through the theater’s restored 1929 façade, enjoyed food at the second location of Superfrico and drinks at the Horse Dive Bar, and then took in the comedy and acrobatics of “The Hook,” as directed by Cal McCrystal. The next step for Spiegelworld will be next summer’s opening of “DiscoShow” on the Strip at the Linq.
