Garth Brooks performs on May 18 at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

Katy Perry will head downtown Saturday night, May 27, after her performance of the “Play” residency at Resorts World Theatre to catch the midnight premiere of the new Viva Vision Katy Perry music and light show under the canopy of the Fremont Street Experience. Plenty of other musical stars have inspired Viva Vision productions, such as Imagine Dragons and Steve Aoki, and Perry will reportedly make this one extra special by flying into the event on the Slotzilla zipline and addressing the crowd to introduce the show. The event is free and open to the public. This Vegas development makes us wonder if the scheduled closing date of “Play,” November 4, could be adjusted with a Perry extension.
