Retired North Las Vegas teacher accused of lewdness with a minor

A retired Clark County School District teacher has been charged with multiple counts of lewdness with a minor under the age of 14, luring a minor and producing child pornography, according to a North Las Vegas police report. 

Darryl Lancaster, 57, recently retired after working as an eighth grade teacher at Jo Mackey Magnet School in North Las Vegas during the 2022-2023 school year. 

The location of the incidents is still being investigated, the release says. 

Police started investigating Lancaster after receiving a report of a possible sexual assault involving a minor. During the course of the investigation officers requested the assistance of the Detective Bureau. 

Lancaster faces eight counts of the lewdness with a minor under the age of 14, two counts of luring of a minor and one count of producing child pornography.
