Spiegelworld will debut the new show its been developing in its own “circus town” of Nipton, Calif., specifically for Formula 1 race week in Las Vegas, and it will do so tonight, Nov. 15, at its Superfrico restaurant at the Cosmopolitan. “Lights Out,” formerly called “Box Box,” will be witnessed at 11 p.m., with “tickets” starting with a $100 food and beverage minimum, and it could expand with other performances this weekend and beyond. The show was conceptualized by some of Los Angeles’ “most dangerously funny comic artists,” according to a news release, who were “locked away” for a month in Nipton with the mission “to create material for a tiny, stupid, fun show that explored why human beings are obsessed with the idea of very fast cars driving around a track.” Leave it to Spiegelworld to poke fun at this new, huge Vegas event, while also showing a serious appreciation for it. Reservations can be made at spiegelworld.com.

Donny Osmond will appropriately kick off the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix by performing the National Anthem on Nov. 18 at 9:45 p.m. at the starting grid near Harmon and Koval. The Harrah’s Las Vegas headliner will sing to start the race accompanied by 60 flagholders, all of whom are CCSD teachers and local youths.
