Country music sensation Carrie Underwood performs Wednesday, June 21, 2023, during her “Reflection: The Las Vegas Residency” show at Resorts World Theatre.

Dozens of country music concerts at various Las Vegas venues are always expected when the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo returns in December. But this year’s rodeo week events seem to be bringing in the biggest stars yet, and three headlining residency shows are getting an early start this week.

Garth Brooks has seven shows on the docket at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, starting on November 29 and continuing through NFR’s run. Carrie Underwood also seven concerts set for Resorts World Theatre, also beginning on the 29th. And Miranda Lambert’s residency at Bakkt Theater at Planet Hollywood returns on November 30 and has five more shows running through December 10. Tickets for all these shows can be found at ticketmaster.com or axs.com.

The rodeo returns to the Thomas & Mack Center December 7-16, the 65th year of the biggest event by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA). It’s been held in Las Vegas at the arena on the UNLV campus since 1985.

“I just really enjoy my time there,” Underwood told Las Vegas Weekly in May in regards to performing for rodeo week crowds. “It’s been a lot of fun and I’m honored to be a part of the entertainment [lineup] in Las Vegas. That’s what Vegas is all about, having fun.”

Underwood is the only original Resorts World resident headliner who has extended her show deep into 2024. Katy Perry recently performed her final shows at Resorts World Theatre, and Luke Bryan will close his residency in January. Underwood’s “Reflection” production will continue through next summer.

Lambert opened her residency this time last year at Planet Hollywood and was excited about the timing “because those are my people,” she told the Weekly. “I have done [shows] in Vegas during NFR before, playing at different casinos, and it’s special, because … anyone who has loved anything we sing about is in town for 10 days. It’s awesome.”

Lambert doesn’t currently have more Vegas concert dates beyond December 16.

Other country music headliners coming to town next week include Warren Zeiders at the Chelsea at the Cosmopolitan on December 7; Ryan Bingham with The Texas Gentlemen at the Theater at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas on December 7; Cody Johnson at MGM Grand Garden Arena on December 8; Cody Jinks at Dolby Live at Park MGM on December 8-9; Jon Pardi at Michelob Ultra Arena at Mandalay Bay on December 9; Toby Keith at Dolby Live on December 10-11; and Lainey Wilson at the Theater at Virgin on December 13-16.
