Virgin Hotels Las Vegas is all set to launch a new residency show in the intimate 24 Oxford space later this month. “Lady Like: A Retro Modern Burlesque Show” is prepared to premiere on Oct. 28, with a regular performance schedule planned for 8 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays. Tickets are available now at virginhotelslv.com/lady-like/. Created by Jaimee Gallego and Summer Soltis, “Lady Like” is inspired by the glamour of the 1950s and ’60s, a “nostalgic spectacle” laced with top-notch choreography. Longtime local performer Maren Wade stars as the Headmistress, and she also took the lead on writing the show with actress and comedian Sarah Lowe. Dancers Taylor Jayne, Tara McClintic, Nadia Albulet, Jacquelyne Hutchins, Mariah Ware, Jessie Ohera-Aweau and Blayke Harris round out the cast. This show looks to us like just the sexy surge Virgin could use to complement the killer concerts coming to its larger theater venue.

More entertainment announcements this week: Kesha will bring her Only Love Tour to the Pearl Concert Theater at the Palms on Nov. 24; Demi Lovato will ring in the new year with a performance at the Chelsea at the Cosmopolitan on Dec. 31; Styx will once again take the stage at the Venetian Theatre for a run of five shows from Jan. 26 through Feb. 3; comedian Jim Gaffigan dropped new dates for his continuing engagement at Encore Theater at Wynn, returning April 3, 5 and 6; industrial metal legends Ministry will perform with Gary Numan and Front Line Assembly at the Theater at Virgin on April 4; and country star Morgan Wallen added a second date to his 2024 Allegiant Stadium plans, now playing there on Aug. 9 as well as the previously announced Aug. 8 concert.

The acclaimed “Carpenters Legacy” tribute show, starring Sally Olson and Ned Mills, opens a new residency Oct. 16 at the V Theater at the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood. Its new schedule is at the 5 p.m. slot Mondays through Thursdays, and tickets are available at vtheater.com or carpenterslegacy.com.
