Brenden Banks-Speed had a pair of touchdowns for the Clark High football team Thursday night in a 23-20 victory against Cimarron-Memorial.
Banks-Speed’s second touchdown came on a reception on a fourth down play in the final minutes of the game, helping the Chargers claim a postseason victory for the first time since 1993.
Clark had a playoff win in 2021 reversed for using an eligible player.
Clark has just seven seniors on its roster, and is using the playoff run to give its younger players experience for future seasons, coach Deumaine Reeder said.
“It was a good win. We are figuring it out with this young team,” Reeder said.
Julian Fuller also had two touchdowns for Clark.
