The Basic football team had a convincing 40-13 victory tonight against visiting Carson City for its first win of the season.
The Wolf Pack improved to 1-1 overall. They could easily be 2-0 after committing five turnovers to drop a close game with Silverado last week.
“The biggest difference is we didn’t have the turnovers tonight,” coach Jeff Cahill said. “Last week, we made a lot of first-game mistakes.”
Quarterback Anthony Vega rushed and passed for two touchdowns, as Basic scored the initial 21 points on the game and never looked back.
Chrey Traylor had two receiving touchdowns and Brandon Griffin rushed for two scores.
