Gilrelle Patterson’s interception return for a touchdown helped the Cimarron-Memorial football team beat Spring Valley 16-14 on Thursday night.
Rey Yllas had a 35-yard touchdown reception for the Spartans, who improved to 3-2 overall. It was a significant improvement after a blowout defeat last week, coach Shane Kanie said.
“We did a better job of putting our family first,” the coach said. “When you put your family first good things happen.”
