Foo Fighters perform at Park MGM Thursday, Dec. 2, 2021.

The surging Foo Fighters, who released new album “But Here We Are” in June and recently announced a new string of headlining concerts running across the country, are set to perform in Las Vegas this weekend for the first time since the death of longtime drummer Taylor Hawkins in March 2022. The hard rockers will take the stage at T-Mobile Arena on Saturday, September 23, as one of the starring acts of the 13th annual iHeartRadio Music Festival.

The music starts at 7:30 p.m. on September 22 and 23, while ticket prices start at $60 and are available at axs.com. Anchoring the bill on the first night: Lenny Kravitz, Kane Brown, Lil Wayne, Tim McGraw, Miguel, TLC, Lil Durk and Sheryl Crow. And joining the Foos on Saturday night are Kelly Clarkson, Public Enemy, Fall Out Boy, Travis Scott and Thirty Seconds to Mars.

The weekender once again brings some of the most popular artists across multiple musical genres to the Las Vegas Strip, and as usual, it coincides with the Life Is Beautiful festival taking place on the streets of downtown Las Vegas. But the audiences for the two events tend to differ even more than the artists; iHeart is all about singers, rappers and bands that have achieved mainstream recognition, and combining these stars of yesterday, today and tomorrow on the same stage at the same time.

In recent years, the festival has augmented the two nights at T-Mobile with a daytime stage featuring up-and-coming acts. This year there’s something different — the House of Music, a free, open-to-the-public immersive exhibition inspired by the artists onstage this weekend. It will be open both days from 4 p.m. until 1 a.m. at Toshiba Plaza just in front of the arena, featuring 15 different spaces with interactive musical installations.

“This year with the House of Music we’re extending the iHeartRadio Music Festival experience to fans by bringing them closer their favorite artists through the world of mixed reality,” Tom Poleman, chief programming officer for iHeartMedia, said in a statement.

There’s a room inspired by the beloved R&B act TLC built as a walk-in closet featuring many of their signature stylish outfits through the years. Fans can get a digital aura reading inspired by Clarkson’s new album “Chemistry” and find out which of her hit songs best matches their own mood. And the 50th anniversary of hip-hop will be celebrated in the Public Enemy room, where guests can browse Flavor Flav’s iconic timepieces and use a digital painting tool to create an original piece of art featuring Chuck D.
