Jersey Boys” is returning to Las Vegas. The award-winning hit musical — one of the biggest Broadway-t0-Vegas hits of all time — will launch its only U.S. residency at the Orleans Showroom on December 21, produced by Ivory Star Productions. The phenomenal story behind the music of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons hits the stage for previews Wednesdays through Sundays at 7:30 p.m., with a grand opening set for January 17 after which the schedule will adjust. Tom Ingram, the promoter behind local institution and 26-year-strong music festival the Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekend, is launching a new two-day mini-fest, Red Hot Vegas, set for October 13 and 14 at the Orleans. Viva Las Vegas is known as the biggest and most popular Rockabilly event in the world, and the new weekender will spin off with additional music, dancing, burlesque, pool parties and more. Tickets start at $95 and can be purchased now at redhotvegas.com.

Here are some more Vegas entertainment event announcements from the past week: Adam Sandler returns to the Vegas stage with his I Missed You Tour at Michelob Ultra Arena at Mandalay Bay on December 2; Carlos Santana has announced 2024 dates for his ongoing House of Blues concert residency, which will resume on January 24 and continue through May after eight shows November 1-12 to close out the year; and Carrie Underwood, who returns to Resorts World Theatre this weekend, has extended her Strip residency with 18 new concerts running from March 6 through August 24.

The inaugural Nevada Blues Festival, set for September 29-October 1, has had a venue change. The final night of performances previously planned for downtown’s Soulbelly BBQ will now be performed at Tommy Rocker’s Mojave Beach Grill & Bar. The other nights of music will still be set at the Pioneer Saloon in Goodsprings and the Sand Dollar Lounge in Chinatown, and admission is free for all performances with VIP packages available for $30 per person. iLuminate,” the flashy dance spectacular currently performing at the Strat Theater, will embark on a national tour starting on October 3. The Vegas show will continue its schedule while the technology-tinged stage show with a killer soundtrack takes a cast of dancers through Texas, the Midwest and the Northeast through November. The tour will pick up again in February in Florida and continue through the South back to the West Coast, and then move back across the country in the spring.

Superstar performers Idina Menzel and Aloe Blacc are the headlining performers for the UMC Foundation’s 2023 Evening of Hope Gala on October 13 at Paris Las Vegas. The event is aiming to raise more than $1 million to assist the largest renovation in the history of UMC Children’s Hospital, home to Nevada’s only designated Pediatric Trauma Center and only verified Pediatric Burn Center.
