Man charged in March three-car crash in Las Vegas

A Las Vegas man was arrested today on multiple charges after allegedly fleeing a three-car crash that killed two last month, according to Metro police.

Jacob Ybarra, 26, was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on multiple reckless driving charges with a $10,000 bail, according to the jail website. On the night of March 1, Ybarra was speeding in his Acura next to a 2008 Ford down Vegas Drive when the Ford struck a third car, causing the collision, police said.

The Ford was redirected and struck a light pole, killing both the driver and passenger. The driver of the third car showed no signs of impairment or injury, police said. Debris from the crash also struck two parked cars that were unoccupied. Ybarra did not stop for the collision and fled the scene, police said.

The crash is still under investigation, police said.
