Police: Motorcyclist in North Las Vegas dead after being struck by car

A motorcyclist died in North Las Vegas Thursday night after being struck by a car, according to North Las Vegas police.

The 19-year-old, who has yet to be identified, was traveling northbound on Las Vegas Boulevard toward Bruce Street in a storage lane, police said. The incident occurred when a car traveling southbound made a left turn, causing the motorcycle to strike the car and ejecting the victim from the motorcycle.

Medical personnel transported the man to University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The car’s driver was uninjured, and police said they do not believe speed or impairment were factors.

The cyclist did not have a motorcycle endorsement, police said.
