A North Las Vegas man was arrested after hitting a North Las Vegas woman with his car before leaving the scene, according to North Las Vegas police.
Donald Boike, 24, was arrested early Saturday morning for failing to stop at an accident scene involving death and failure to render aid at an accident scene, police said. Boike allegedly struck a woman in her 30s with his car while speeding down North 5th street and continued driving before stopping near Carey Ave., where police found the car.
The victim was found by police in the roadway of North 5th Street near Brooks Avenue and was pronounced dead at the scene. The death is still under investigation, and speed is believed to be a factor, police said.
