Betts was 80. He cofounded The Allman Brothers Band and helped create the double lead guitar sound with Duane Allman. Original USS Enterprise model is found

DALLAS (AP) – The original model of the USS Enterprise used in the opening credits of “Star Trek” has been located, decades after it disappeared. Roddenberry Entertainment CEO Eugene “Rod” Roddenberry, the son of “Star Trek” creator Gene Roddenberry, says Heritage Auctions of Dallas returned the three-foot model last week after it popped up on eBay last fall. The sellers say they found it in a storage unit and contacted Heritage about authenticating it. Rod Roddenberry says returning the model was the right thing to do and he rewarded them for doing that, without going into details. The model was loaned to the makers of “Star Trek: The Motion Picture” in 1979 and disappeared. Rod Roddenberry says he feels “vindicated” because for years rumors went around that he threw it in a pool as a boy.

That’s not all Phish has in mind, though. Anastasio says they are also working on ideas for their summer festival that he describes as “so cool.”
