Five Las Vegas men are facing charges in a fatal 2022 shooting, according to Metro Police.
Emerson Hewitt, 18, was booked into Clark County Detention Center on two charges of open murder on April 8, police said today.
On Wednesday, four more men were booked into the detention center, also on two counts of open murder: 18-year old Damion Mixon and Larry Young, and 20-year-old Mark Burton and Nasir Leggroan.
The shooting occurred in July 2022, when police responded to reports of a shooting in the 1900 block of Cindysue Street, police said. A man and a woman were located inside an apartment suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, and were pronounced dead at the scene.
Metro Police determined the two victims had gotten into an altercation with the suspects, one of which produced a firearm and shot the victims before fleeing.
The deaths are still under investigation, police said.
