Boats are dwarfed by the bathtub ring at Lake Mead near Hoover Dam Friday, May 26, 2023.

A 58-year-old “wonderful” father and husband fell off his paddleboard into a Nevada lake and has been missing for days, officials said.

Gregory Bell was with a group of people on Saturday at Lake Mead, the Lake Mead National Recreation Area said in a Facebook post.

Strong winds suddenly hit the area, sending all six of them into the water, officials said.

Everyone was accounted for except Bell, who has now been missing for three days, officials said.

“Our dear friend got caught up in a freak storm last night and is missing,” Michelle Edmonds wrote on Facebook.

Rescue teams spread out to search for Bell by “land, water and air,” officials said, but he hasn’t been found as of today.

“We need a miracle. Whatever you believe please keep Greg in your heart,” his wife, Serena Bell, said in an Instagram post. “We have to bring him home. He is the love of my life and we have so much life to live.”

“He’s a fellow agent, master inspector, amazing friend, and wonderful father and husband. Not finding him would be a devastating loss to our entire community,” Tam Gonzalez shared on Facebook.

Gregory Bell is 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighs about 207 pounds, and was last seen wearing a black tank top, black floral shorts, and a black and white mesh baseball hat.

He wasn’t wearing a life jacket, officials said.

Lake Mead is about 30 miles east of Las Vegas in both Nevada and Arizona.

About 8 million people visit the area every year, according to the National Park Service.
