Defense, special teams give Desert Oasis the edge over Silverado

Gavin Winterrowd had 16 tackles tonight for the Desert Oasis football team in a 43-21 victory against host Silverado.
The Diamondbacks had three interceptions, including an interception return for a touchdown by Sharaad Robertson. Jeramyah Ramsey had one of the other interceptions to go along with a punt return for a score in helping Desert Oasis improve to 2-0 on the season.
“We had a nice night all the way around,” coach Matt Rosdahl said.
Preston Helsham completed 22 of 28 passes for three touchdowns and 231 yards. Brendan Adams had two receiving scores and Drew Richmond hauled in the other.
