Kamden Drosos rushed for 118 yards and three touchdowns on seven carries tonight for the Moapa Valley football team in a 30-29 victory over Hurricane of Utah.
Moapa Valley trailed 14-0 early, “before we finally woke up in the second quarter,” coach Brent Lewis said.
Talon Schraft had a 7-yard touchdown pass to Ryker Katich for the Pirates’ other points.
The Pirates led 30-27 with less than a minute to play before giving up a safety on a botched punt. However, the defense prevented further damage and Moapa Valley improved to 2-0 on the season.
“We left a lot of points on the field and didn’t execute,” Lewis said.
