Antwan Hawkins had a pair of rushing touchdowns tonight for the Mojave football team in a 34-0 win against neighborhood rival Canyon Springs.
“We played how we expected to play — disciplined football,” coach Wes Pacheco said. “We have big expectations in front of us, so we just want to get better every week, win or lose.”
AJ Williams and Miguel Reinares added rushing scores for the Rattlers (1-1 overall). Damari Fairley scored a defensive touchdown on a fumble return.
Mojave hosts Virgin Valley of Mesquite next week.
“We have a bigger mission in front of us (this season),” Pacheco said. “We have dug in and eliminated the noise. We like the spot we are in.”
