Vegas Golden Knights goaltender Adin Hill (33) warms up before Game 6 of an NHL hockey Stanley Cup first-round playoff series against the Dallas Stars at T-Mobile arena Friday, May 3, 2024.

The countdown is on.

The NHL has fully transitioned into 2024-2025 season mode, and on Tuesday, released every teams’ schedule for the upcoming year.

The Vegas Golden Knights will kick off their eighth campaign on Wednesday, Oct. 9, against the Colorado Avalanche at T-Mobile Arena.

Vegas starts the season with a mini-homestand, as games at T-Mobile against the St. Louis Blues on Oct. 11 and the Anaheim Ducks on Oct. 13 follow the Avalanche opener.

The Golden Knights will notably play their first-ever game against the Utah Hockey Club — formerly the Arizona Coyotes — on Nov. 2 at T-Mobile Arena. On Nov. 15, Vegas will travel to the Delta Center in Salt Lake City to face Utah on the road for the first time.

The Golden Knights will face the 2024 Stanley Cup Champion Florida Panthers on Oct. 19 and Jan. 26. The former date is on the road while the latter marks the champions’ return trip to T-Mobile Arena.

Vegas first faces Dallas at home on Friday, Dec 6, in a rematch of the first-round Stanley Cup Playoff series that saw the Stars prevail in seven games.

Franchise legend and 2023 Conn Smythe Trophy winner Jonathan Marchessault won’t return to Vegas until Saturday, April 12, when the Golden Knights host the Nashville Predators in their 80th of 82 regular-season games.

Marchessault signed with Nashville on Monday as an unrestricted free agent.

The Golden Knights saw a handful of players leave in this last week. Here is when they return to Vegas.

Alec Martinez - Feb. 27 vs. Chicago

Chandler Stephenson - Dec. 21 vs. Seattle

William Carrier - Nov. 11 vs. Carolina

Michael Amadio - Oct. 25 vs. Ottawa

Logan Thompson - Nov. 17 vs. Washington

Anthony Mantha - Oct. 28 vs. Calgary

Vegas' longest home stand is from Feb. 27 to March 9 when it plays five games in a row at T-Mobile. The team’s longest trip starts on Nov. 20 in Toronto and wraps in Colorado a week later on Nov. 27.

The 2024-25 regular season will pause in February for the 2025 NHL 4 Nations Face-Off. That event will replace NHL All-Star Weekend, which will not be held in the 2024-25 season.
