1 dead after man and woman shot while sitting in car in Las Vegas

A man was killed and a woman wounded after they were shot early Tuesday morning, according to Metro Police. 

The shooting occurred just before 1:40 a.m. Tuesday in the 500 block of East Sahara Avenue while the two victims were sitting in a car, police said. A suspect, who has not been identified, shot through the passenger side window, hitting both victims. 

Responding medical personnel pronounced the man dead at the scene and transported the woman to Sunrise Hospital, where she was treated for non-life-threatening wounds, police said. 

The shooting is still under investigation, and officials did not release any indication to a motive for the shooting.
