Sierra Vista breaks into the win column

The Sierra Vista football team got its first win of the season tonight by stopping Desert Oasis at the goal line at the buzzer for a 21-15 win.
The Mountain Lions scored all of their points in the first half with touchdowns from Christian Lee, Adonis Vaughn and Charles Butera.
Thomas Raybon, Sierra Vista’s fourth coach in as many seasons, credited his senior class for keeping the team together when they lost the initial two games of the season.
“They really did a good job of staying composed,” he said. “I have never been around a team that was so even-keeled. They are more calm than me.”
