Shadow Ridge football makes its lone pass attempt count in beating California school

The Shadow Ridge football team attempted one pass on Friday night: a 68-yard touchdown from Ula Cox to Trevin Young with 20 seconds remaining in a 50-43 victory over Quartz Hill of California.
Shadow Ridge rushed for 474 yards, but the Mustangs found themselves trailing 43-42 with 1:01 to play and called up the winning play — on a pass.
Malahkai Berry had 120 yards and two touchdowns, Tyrell Craven went for 168 yards and a score, and Hector Velazquez rushed for 112 yards and two scores.
