Usher talks ‘Rendezvous in Paris’ concert film

NEW YORK (AP) – Usher has a new concert film entitled “Usher: Rendezvous in Paris,” hoping viewers can get as close as possible to the experience of being there. With a limited run playing in global theaters from September 12-15, the film was captured in Paris during the city’s 2023 fashion week. The performance was filmed at La Seine Musicale, between his in-demand Las Vegas residency dates. Directed by Anthony Mandler, the concert film captures him performing many of his biggest hits. “Usher: Rendezvous in Paris” is in theaters now.

Cardi B reveals birth of third child with Offset and says the newborn is the ‘prettiest lil thing’

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Cardi B has welcomed her third child into the world. The Grammy winner announced on social media Thursday that she gave birth over the weekend. She posted photos of her holding and breastfeeding the newborn in a hospital. “The prettiest lil thing,” she wrote in the post, followed by the date Sept. 7. The 31-year-old Cardi B announced she was pregnant last month on the same day she filed for divorce from rapper Offset, who is shown in the photos with her and holding the baby.

K-pop band NewJeans hold guerrilla livestream, criticize label

K-pop band NewsJeans held a surprise livestream Wednesday night and leveled allegations against their current label. NewJeans ( made up of Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein) made headlines after their guerilla stream. The band has been a part of a public battle between their label ADOR and its parent company HYBE (home to K-pop behemoth BTS), after the band’s creative director and producer Min Hee-jin was removed from her CEO role at ADOR after publicly airing grievances against the company. During a live stream that lasted around half an hour, the members urged the label to reinstate Min as its CEO. The live stream is no longer available on YouTube for unknown reasons, although versions recorded by viewers are searchable.
