Chaparral wins homecoming game against Del Sol

Keimaria Cooley rushed for three touchdowns and 120 yards tonight for the Chaparral High football team in a 34-6 homecoming victory against Del Sol.
The defense was the difference with three interceptions, two fumble recoveries and two blocked punts. Seven Williams recovered one of the punts for a touchdown.
Chaparral, which has many young and inexperienced players, has won two straight games.
“We had to replace 22 seniors,” coach Thomas Hess said. “They are learning to put it all together. The effort and intensity has been there.”
