Desert Oasis rides defense to win over Sunrise Mountain

Vincent Hales completed 20 of 27 passes with two touchdowns Friday night for the Desert Oasis football team in a 35-6 win over Sunrise Mountain.
Chris Villasenor and Josh deLespinasse had receiving touchdowns for the Diamondbacks, while Nehemiah Siaki and Brycen Rabago had rushing scores.
Gavin Winterrowd had 11 tackles and blocked a punt. That punt was recovered by Donovan Sadler for a touchdown.
Ethan Estrada and Terrell Moseley Jr. each had a sack. Desert Oasis improves to 3-1 overall.
“Our defense came up with some big plays,” coach Matt Rosdahl said. “For the most part we shut them down.”
