Combs pleaded not guilty yesterday to charges that include racketeering, sex trafficking, forced labor, kidnapping, obstruction of justice and drug offenses. His lawyers are offering a $50 million bail package that would use his mansion as collateral in exchange for release to home detention with GPS monitoring and restricted visitors. Combs’ house is on Star Island off the coast of Miami, which is among the most expensive places to live in the country. Prosecutors say Combs is a danger to the community and a flight risk.

“Fake heiress” Anna Sorokin wears ankle monitor on “Dancing with the Stars”

LOS ANGELES (AP) – Anna Sorokin, the so-called “fake heiress,” made her debut on “Dancing with the Stars” last night wearing a bedazzled ankle monitor. Sorokin tells The Associated Press the monitor weighs less than a pound, and she asked for it to be tight so it wouldn’t dangle. Sorokin is in the custody of immigration authorities as she fights deportation to her native Germany. Terms of her home confinement have been amended to allow her to travel from New York to Los Angeles to film the show. Sorokin was released from prison in 2021 after serving time for grand larceny after she tricked people and businesses into thinking she was an heiress. Sorokin says she hopes people will give her a chance on the show, because she has served her time and paid her restitution.

The guys got to be great friends on “The Golden Bachelorette”

LOS ANGELES (AP) – The star of “The Golden Bachelorette” did not expect that she was going to walk into a room of 24 men who became the best of friends on the first night. Vassos says she was expecting them to talk about their golf handicaps and how their baseball teams were doing, but she did not hear a single sports conversation. She says they all acted like they had known each other forever. “The Golden Bachelorette” premieres tonight on ABC.
