Centennial beats Sunrise Mountain in state championship game rematch

Khy Harris had a pair of touchdown receptions tonight for the Centennial football team in a 45-26 win over Sunrise Mountain for the Bulldogs’ initial win of the season.
Centennial, the defending Class 4A state champions, hadn’t won a game since beating Sunrise Mountain last November for the title.
“We are trying to keep focus on the small things,” coach DJ Campbell said. “They have to continue to work on the little things and keep our sights on the big picture.”
Despite the rough start, Centennial is 1-1 in league play and still controls its playoff destiny.
Brogan Church and Evan Montero had touchdown runs, and Dale Flores Jr. had a touchdown catch on a pass from Ashton Hunt.
