Strong defensive effort lifts Foothill football over Desert Pines

Brennon Arthur passed for three touchdowns Friday night for the Foothill football team in a 27-0 win over Desert Pines.
Foothill improves to 5-0 on the season.
“We had a great week of practice. We were ready to play,” coach Vernon Brown said. “We made some big time stops on defense.”
That’s especially true of safety Brody Dobbs, who Brown said had two touchdown-saving tackles as part of a defense that was “lights out.”
Jaymen Tiss had a 48-yard touchdown reception, Eugene Altobella III scored on a 10-yard grab, and sophomore Bryce Rodriguez hauled in a 22-yard scoring reception.
Avant Gates Jr. added a touchdown run.
