Honoring a Family’s Sacrifice While Celebrating Upgrades

As part of the celebration in South Jordan, just outside Salt Lake City, Rocket Express will proudly honor Summer Lee Anderson, a Rocket Express Folds of Honor scholarship recipient whose story reflects the enduring impact of military service and sacrifice.

A Saratoga Springs, Utah, native, Anderson is a sophomore at the University of Utah, where she is pursuing degrees in Psychology and Sociology. She is also a member of the university’s ROTC program and has set her sights on becoming an officer in the U.S. Army. Inspired by her own family’s experience, Summer hopes to dedicate her career to serving veterans, particularly those struggling with PTSD.

Summer is the daughter of Command Sgt. Major Brad Lee Anderson, who served more than 20 years in the U.S. Army as an EOD Specialist and Ammunition Specialist. During his distinguished military career, Command Sgt. Major Anderson deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was ultimately disabled in the line of duty.

Through Folds of Honor, Summer’s educational journey is being supported in recognition of her father’s service and sacrifice. Her story represents the legacy carried by military families and the powerful impact of honoring those who have served our nation.
