Children aren't the only ones taking part in the holiday; local celebrities are participating, too. Here's how prominent locals are spending their night -- and how they're contributing to your bag of Halloween sweets.
Armed with colorfully painted pumpkins with construction paper hair and straw, paper and felt hats, the Meadows School kindergartners made their way to University Medical Center's Pediatrics Intensive Care Unit and Pediatrics Department on Oct. 29 to fulfill the school's annual mission of brightening the day of both patients and staff alike.
Paseo Verde Library is hosting a question-and-answer session Thursday with members of the Silver State Ghost Hunters, a group of Southern Nevada residents who share an interest in the supernatural.
The air was crisp and cool at The Gardens Park on Saturday as more than 3,000 Summerlin residents attended the second annual Summerlin Pumpkin Festival, an event designed to celebrate the arrival of the fall season.
It's an annual D'Vorre and Hal Ober Elementary School tradition to bring the kindergartners to the opening day of the Gilcrease Orchard Pumpkin Patch near Tenaya Way and Grand Teton Drive.
