Schools Double Up After AC System Fails

About 700 Diskin Elementary School students went to nearby Decker Elementary School in the central Las Vegas Valley on Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012, after the 45-year-old school’s air-conditioning system failed Tuesday. The Clark County School District is pushing for a property tax increase to address an estimated $5.3 billion in school maintenance needs over the next decade.
