Fri, Dec 6, 2019 (5:39 p.m.)
As the UNLV Rebels play their final games at Sam Boyd Stadium, their home since 1971, the Las Vegas News Bureau takes a look back at the birth of what was first called Las Vegas Stadium when it opened as a modest 15,000-seat venue, as well as notable events over the years. As documented in photos, Sam Boyd Stadium has seen its capacity grow to over 40,000 seats to host a wide variety of events and concerts, as well as being the home for the Las Vegas Bowl, USA Sevens Rugby, AMA Supercross Series Finals and Monster Jam World Finals.
