AFSCME Members Rally In Las Vegas

American Federation of State County Municipal Employees (AFSCME) union members rally in front of the Nevada State Business Center in Las Vegas Saturday, June 27, 2020. AFSCME members say Governor Steve Sisolak violated a 2019 collective bargaining statute by refusing to negotiate the furloughs and salary freezes enacted to cut spending amid the coronavirus pandemic. Another rally took place outside the governor’s mansion in Carson City, a union spokesperson said.
