Three people displaced by house fire in northwest valley

Firefighters put out a blaze early today that did an estimated $20,000 in damage to a house in the northwest valley, Las Vegas Fire & Rescue officials said.

Nobody was injured, and the cause of the fire was under investigation, officials said.

The fire was reported about 3:35 a.m. in the 3400 block of Winterhaven Street, near U.S. 95 and Gowan Road, officials said. The fire was contained to the garage, officials said.

The American Red Cross was assisting two adults and a child displaced by the fire, officials said.
