A pedestrian was hit by a car and killed Sunday night while crossing a street against the do not walk signal, according to Metro Police.
The incident happened about 11 p.m. at Eastern Avenue and Sunset Road.
A 62-year-old Las Vegas man was crossing Eastern when he was hit by a car in the crosswalk, police said. The pedestrian, whose name was not released, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The driver, a 41-year-old Las Vegas man, remained at the scene, and impairment is not suspected, police said. He was not injured, police said.
The incident remains under investigation, police said.
