Pedestrian hit by shuttle bus, critically injured in downtown Las Vegas

A pedestrian was critically injured Tuesday night when they were hit by a shuttle bus in downtown Las Vegas, according to Metro Police.

The incident was reported about 10:45 p.m. at First Street and Ogden Avenue. The pedestrian was in a crosswalk on Ogden when they were hit by the bus, which was making a left turn from First Street, police said.

The 70-year-old pedestrian from Camarillo, Calif., was taken to University Medical Center, police said.

The driver, a 45-year-old Las Vegas man, remained at the scene and did not show signs of impairment, police said. The incident remains under investigation, police said.
