Two people have been arrested on murder counts in connection with a body found earlier this year in a burned vehicle, according to Metro Police.
The Clark County Fire Department notified Metro about 5:15 a.m. on May 9 of the discovery near State Route 147, east of Las Vegas, police said. The vehicle was on Bureau of Land Management property, police said.
Metro detectives identified Antonio Barry-Edwards, 24, and Jordan Monahan, 30, as the suspects in the case, police said.
Monahan was arrested Tuesday and booked at the Clark County Detention Center on open murder and other counts related to the case, police said.
Barry-Edwards, who was already in custody on unrelated counts, was also booked on a count of open murder in the case, police said.
No additional details were released.
