Metro Police identified this man as a suspect in the groping of a teen girl Aug. 1, 2021, near Fremont and 15th streets.

Metro Police say they are trying to identify a suspect in the groping of a teen girl last month as she was walking home from work.

The 17-year-old girl was walking about 7 a.m. on Aug. 1 near Fremont and 15th streets when a man pulled up in white Mercedes sedan, police said. He asked her if she wanted a ride, and the girl ignored him and crossed the street, police said.

The man then drove to a motel parking lot and got out of the car, police said. He grabbed the girl’s arm and touched her inappropriately, police said. She broke away and contacted police, officials said.

Police released a photo of the suspect and the car.
