Metro Police said they were on the scene of a barricade event after receiving a report of a person with a gun.
The incident was reported about 1 p.m. today in the 5400 block of Club House Drive, in the area of Sahara Avenue and Nellis Drive, police said.
Two people were detained, and one person was believed to be inside a residence and refusing to surrender, police said.
SWAT officers and crisis negotiators responded, police said.
Metro advised people to avoid the area.
