Police: Suspect arrested in June shooting east of Las Vegas Strip

A suspect has been arrested in a June shooting east of the Las Vegas Strip that left one man dead and another injured, according to Metro Police.

Alphonso Bullie, 23, was arrested Wednesday and booked at the Clark County Detention Center on counts of open murder and attempted murder, police said.

Officers responded about 7:10 p.m. on June 16 to reports of gunfire in the 3600 block of Cambridge Street, just north of Twain Avenue, police said.

Officers located two people suffering from gunshot wounds in the area, police said. They were taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, where one of the men died, police said.

The other victim was was treated for nonlife-threatening wounds, police said.

The victims were with a group of people before gunfire broke out and everyone, including the victims, fled on foot, police said.
