Man fatally stabs neighbor in Boulder Highway apartment, police say

A man was stabbed to death Friday night by his neighbor during an argument inside an apartment in the 4300 block of Boulder Highway, according to Metro Police.

Suspect Brandon Alexander, 64, is facing an open murder charge, officials said Sunday in a news release. He was arrested without incident and booked into the Clark County Detention Center.

Metro dispatch was contacted about 7:19 p.m. with reports of a stabbing inside an apartment on Boulder Highway, near Desert Inn Road.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel, officials said.

KLAS-TV, Channel 8 reported that Alexander told police he stabbed the victim in self defense.
