Firefighters battle overnight blaze at commercial building

Investigators are trying to determine the cause of a fire early today at a commercial building in the northeast valley, Las Vegas Fire & Rescue officials said.

The fire was reported about 3:45 a.m. at a retail electrical equipment company in the 100 block of North Pecos Road, officials said.

The business was closed at the time, and no injuries were reported, officials said.

Heavy flames were coming from the front windows and through the roof of the single-story warehouse-type building that was subdivided into separate businesses, officials said.

Firefighters from Las Vegas, Clark County and North Las Vegas battled the blaze, officials said.

A damage estimate was not immediately available.
