Motorcyclist, 45, dies after weekend crash in Las Vegas

A motorcyclist died after a crash Sunday night with a car making a left turn in the northwest valley, according to Metro Police.

The crash happened about 10:40 p.m. on Rainbow Boulevard, north of Smoke Ranch Road, police said.

A motorcycle was headed south on Rainbow when it collided with a car turning left from the center turn lane, police said.

The motorcyclist, a 45-year-old Las Vegas man, was taken to University Medical Center in critical condition, police said. The Clark County Coroner’s Office reported today that the man died, police said.

The driver of the car, a 31-year-old Las Vegas woman, remained at the scene and showed no signs of impairment, police said.

The crash remains under investigation, police said.
